Updates

December 2025
The harvest comes to a close, and the groves slowly return to silence. The trees rest after giving their gift. Olive oil is stored, winter fires are lit, and the village prepares for the festive season. We give thanks, to the land, the trees, and to you, for being part of this cycle. The olive groves breathe, ready for another year to begin.

November 2025
Harvest month. Families, friends, and neighbors gather among the trees, just as they have for generations. Olives are carefully picked, one by one, with hands that know this work by heart. Long days end with shared meals and stories. Fresh olive oil is pressed, vivid green, fragrant, and alive. This is the heart of the year.

October 2025
Autumn settles gently over Lesvos. Some olives begin to change color, from green to deep purple. Nets are laid out beneath the trees, tools are checked, and conversations in the groves grow more frequent. This is a month of preparation, patience, and respect for the rhythm of the olive tree.

September 2025
The olives are now fully grown, heavy on the branches. The intense summer light begins to soften, and cooler evenings return to the village. We walk through the groves each day, observing the fruit closely, listening to the trees, and letting nature decide the right moment. A quiet sense of anticipation fills the land.

August 2025
August arrives with bright days and long, warm evenings. The olives continue to mature, slowly building their richness on the branch. In the peak of summer, we focus on care and balance—keeping the trees healthy, checking the groves regularly, and letting the island’s sun and sea air do their quiet work. Everything feels still, patient, and full of promise.

July 2025
The summer heat set in, and the olives continued to grow steadily. The village is vibrant, and the trees are being carefully tended to during this crucial stage.

June 2025
With warmer days and steady sunshine, the blossoms transformed into small olives, marking the start of fruit formation.

May- 2025
Spring rains brought fresh growth to the olive trees, with new shoots and blossoms beginning to appear across the groves.

April – 2025
The olive trees are full of new life. Wildflowers bloom between the rows. Bees hum, birds return, and everything feels fresh again. Easter arrives with candles, feasts, and joy—bringing family, tradition, and the warm hum of community to the groves.

March – 2025
Hints of green begin to show. Tiny buds appear on the branches—early signs of spring. The village stirs with more light, and so does the land.

February – 2025
The rains come and nourish the soil. The air is cool and quiet, perfect for pruning. This is when we shape the trees gently, guiding their growth for the year ahead.

January – 2025
Our village rests under soft winter light. The olive groves are still,  recovering from the harvest. We walk among the trees, checking roots, clearing fallen branches, and letting the land breathe.

December – 2024, the focus shifts to Christmas. Our villages light up with decorations, and the smell of melomakarona and kourabiedes fills our homes. We celebrate with carols, feasts, and midnight church services, enjoying the warmth of the season.

November – 2024 is when we come together on Lesvos to harvest olives and make our famous olive oil. It’s a time of hard work, tradition, and the wonderful earthy scent of the groves.

October – 2024 Harvest time is here! We gather plump, green olives from the branches, grateful for the trees’ resilience through the dry summer. Our village smells of fresh olive oil, and life begins to slow into autumn’s rhythm.

September – 2024 Tourists begin to leave, and the village quiets. It’s still dry, with no rain in sight, but we prepare the grove for the upcoming harvest. Autumn breezes offer hope as the days slowly cool.

August – 2024 The island bustles with visitors, but the land is parched, and we tend the trees carefully. Despite the heat, the olives hold on. Nights by the sea offer much-needed relief from the long, hot days.

July – 2024 The heat is relentless, with no rain for months, but our  trees endure. Mornings are for work, and afternoons for sea swims and dinners under the stars.

June – 2024 Small olives appear, and we care for the trees. The scent of jasmine fills the village, and swims become part of daily life. Long days and cool evenings keep things peaceful.

May – 2024 Our village blooms with life, and the olive trees are covered in tiny white flowers, promising a good harvest. Warm days invite us to tend the grove and stroll along the shore.
